Privacy policy
TikArc collects very little. This page says exactly what, and what it does not collect.
The short version
There are no accounts, no ad cookies and no cross-site tracking. Your Recent and My lists stay in your browser. When you load a page, our server sees your IP address in its logs, and keeps those logs only briefly. We count visits with Umami, which we host ourselves.
No accounts, so no profile of you
You do not sign up or sign in. Your searches are not tied to a name, an email address or a user ID, because none exists.
What stays on your device
Recent and My lists (saved profiles and downloaded videos) are kept in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them. You decide when they are cleared.
What the server sees
When you request a page, our server receives the request, including your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and standard browser details such as the browser type. This is how every website works.
These details are written to server logs. We use them to keep the site running and to deal with abuse. We keep them briefly. We do not store your IP address together with your searches.
Cookies
TikArc does not set cookies in its current version. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other sites. If we ever add a cookie that only remembers a setting, this page will say so first.
Outside requests
The pages do not load third-party scripts, fonts, tags or tracking pixels. The one outside request is our own analytics script, described below. When you press Download, the video file is sent to your device through TikArc. The page does not ask you to load anything from an outside advertiser.
Analytics
TikArc uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count visits and see which pages are used. We run it ourselves at stats.toucora.com, so the data stays with us and is not shared with an advertising network.
Short-lived server cache
To load pages quickly, our server may keep the public details it fetched about a profile or video (for example its title and counts) for up to 10 minutes, then fetches them again. This is public information. It is not linked to you.
Content from TikTok
TikArc shows public information that TikTok shows to anyone, such as profile names, public counts and public videos. We do not use this to build profiles of you, the viewer. If you are a creator and want public content removed, see the removal page.
Deleting your local data
To delete your lists, use the remove buttons in My lists and Recent. Each removal can be undone for a few seconds. To clear everything at once, clear this site's data in your browser settings. Because nothing is stored on a server, there is nothing on our side to delete for your lists.
Children
TikArc is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. There are no accounts to collect it in.
Changes to this policy
We will change this page when what we do changes, and update the date at the top.
