TikTok photo downloader
A TikTok photo post is a set of pictures shown as a swipeable slideshow. TikArc cannot save those pictures yet. This page says what it does today, what is missing and how a photo post differs from a video.
What happens when you paste a photo post
- In TikTok, open the photo post, press Share, then Copy link.
- Paste the link into the TikArc search box and press Go.
- Read the post page, which shows the cover picture, the caption, the counts and the creator.
- Look at the Download card. It says plainly that photo posts cannot be downloaded yet.
What you get today
The post page, but no picture files. TikArc recognises a link to a photo post and opens it with the caption, the views, likes, comments and shares, and a link to the creator's profile.
A card instead of a button. Where a video would offer Download, a photo post shows a card titled "This is a photo post". It says that photo posts cannot be downloaded yet. We show that on purpose, because a button that does nothing would be worse.
No account. You do not sign in, and the creator is not told that you looked.
Videos still work. If the same creator also posts videos, the TikTok video downloader saves them as MP4 files.
What is a TikTok photo post?
A photo post is made of still pictures instead of one video. The viewer swipes through them, and TikTok often adds a sound, so it plays like a slideshow. Some people call these carousels.
This matters for downloading. A video is one file. A photo post is many separate pictures, and each one needs its own address that can be read and fetched.
Why TikArc cannot save photos yet
TikArc knows that a post is a photo post, but it does not yet have a dependable way to fetch the picture files. We would rather say so than offer a button that fails.
We do not keep copies of pictures on our servers. If photo download is added, the file will go from the source to your device, as it does for video. Until it works on real posts, this page stays as it is.
What this page cannot do
- Save the pictures from a photo post. Not today.
- Save the sound of a slideshow. Audio is not built.
- Turn a photo post into a video.
- Show private posts or posts from private accounts.
- Recover deleted posts. If a post is gone on TikTok, it is gone here.

Can I download TikTok photos with TikArc?
Not yet. TikArc opens the post page and shows the caption and counts, but the pictures cannot be saved.
Can I download the pictures from a TikTok slideshow?
No, not today. A slideshow is a photo post, and photo posts are the part that does not work yet. A normal video post can be saved as an MP4.
Do I need a TikTok account to open a photo post?
No. TikArc shows public posts without any sign-in. A post that needs a login on TikTok cannot be shown.
Will this page start working?
That depends on whether the picture files can be read reliably. We do not promise a date. The page will change the day it works.
Is it fine to save someone else's photos?
The pictures belong to their creator. Keeping a public picture for your own use is one thing. Posting it as yours, or using it commercially without asking, is another.
