TikTok video downloader
Paste the link to a public TikTok video and TikArc saves it to your device as an MP4 file. You do not need an account or an app.
How to download a TikTok video
- In TikTok, open the video, press Share, then Copy link.
- Paste the link into the TikArc search box and press Go.
- On the video page, check that it is the right video. You can play it there.
- Press Download. The MP4 goes to your usual downloads folder, named after the creator and the video number.
What you get
One MP4 file. TikArc passes the file from the source to your browser. It does not shrink it, convert it or keep a copy.
Two download buttons. Download gives the file TikTok itself offers for saving, which carries TikTok's watermark. Download without watermark asks for the version without it. Both are best effort: if the source does not offer that file at that moment, the download does not start and the page tells you.
A player and the numbers. The video page plays the clip and shows the caption, the views, likes, comments and shares, with a link to the creator's profile.
A share link. The Share button copies the address of the TikArc page for that video. No tracking is added to it.
Which links work
Paste a full video link, a short link from the Share button, or a link that ends in a long number. A photo post link opens its page too, but photo posts cannot be saved yet.
If you only know who made the video, paste their username instead. TikArc opens the profile with their latest posts, and each one has its own Download button. The posts load in the background, so a long list can take up to a minute.
Downloading without the watermark
We cannot promise a file without a watermark. The button asks for that version and passes on whatever the source returns. When TikTok does not offer one for a video, the download fails. It never hands you the other version under the wrong name.
This differs from video to video, so if one button fails, try the other before you decide the video is broken.
Using downloads fairly
A public video still belongs to its creator. Saving it to watch later is one thing. Posting it again as your own, or using it in an advert without asking, is another. The rules differ from country to country, and you are responsible for what you do with a file you save.
What this page cannot do
- Private videos and private accounts. If you need to sign in to TikTok to watch it, TikArc cannot show it either.
- Deleted or removed videos. If the link is dead on TikTok, it is dead here.
- Photo posts. There are no picture files to save yet. See the TikTok photo downloader for where that stands.
- Audio only, or a choice of quality. You get one MP4. There is no MP3 and no smaller file.
- Whole accounts at once. It saves one video at a time. There is no download-all button.
- A guarantee. Some downloads fail when the source does not hand over a file. The page shows a short message and you can try again.
Questions people ask
Is the TikTok video downloader free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay and no account to make.
Do I need the TikTok app or an account?
No. TikArc works in a browser on a phone or a computer. It only reads public pages, so there is nothing to sign in to.
Will the creator know that I downloaded their video?
No. TikArc does not tell the creator who looked at or saved a video, and there are no TikArc accounts that could link a visit to a name.
Why did my download not start?
The video may have been removed or made private, or the source did not offer that file at that moment. Wait a minute, then try again or try the other button.
Where does the file go?
To wherever your browser saves downloads, usually a folder called Downloads. The file is named with the creator's handle, a dash and the video number.
